Connie's Cornucopia:  Local Honey In Stock

Just got in all of our Local Honey. We have Wildflower and also a new Honey called Sourwood.
Sourwood honey has a beautiful amber color and bold, yet balanced, flavor:
Buttery sweet with rounded caramel notes on the back end.
Sourwood Honey won the “Best Honey in the World” award at the World Honey Show three different times. The victories were 2005 in Dublin, Ireland, 2009 in Montpellier, France, and the most recent in October in Kiev, Ukraine.

Thanks
Connie Hoyt

Connie's Cornucopia:  Microgreens

Have you tried microgreens yet? These baby plants are tender, flavorful, and packed with nutrition. Despite their small size, they actually contain more nutrients and antioxidants by weight than their fully-grown counterparts.

Try them Today. In Stock.

Thanks
Connie Hoyt

Berea Gardens:  Market Open

Happy Father’s Day to all of my peers!

Market ordering is enabled for pick up on Wednesday the 14th. A couple of new items this week.

Hope to see you!

Foothills Market:  The Market is Open in a NEW LOCATION! (and it's cool!)

Foothills Market is happy to announce we are moving to a new pickup spot – the Mercantile at Prestonrose on Main Street. The location is just around the corner from our current pickup location, but it has one major advantage – air conditioning! No more wilted greens (or farmers). We’ll also have access to coolers and freezers for the eggs and meat.

We’ll be set up in the lobby area just inside the front door. You can park in the small lot off Main Street in front of the Mercantile and enter through the black door on the left. Pickup time will be the same (Thursday, 4:30-5:30).

Browse the market between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Click the button to place your order and we’ll have your items for pickup – in the mercantile lobby – on Thursday.

Eat something fresh this week – and stop in to let Prestonrose know we appreciate them allowing us to use this (very nice) location for the market!

Growers News:

Safe & Sound Soap Co.
I’m so excited to be introducing two new products this week!!
First of all I have created a cleaning spray! It’s all natural, and made with non toxic ingredients like Organic Sugar Cane Alcohol. This specific type of alcohol does not have a scent, so it kills 99% of germs and bacteria but won’t leave the space you clean smelling like alcohol. I added diluted castile soap and Lemon and Eucalyptus oils for an extra cleaning power boost. It leaves your surfaces sparkling clean and germ free without any residue being left behind, plus it will make the room smell amazing! I love using it in my bathroom on the counters as well as to wipe down the toilet area.

My other new items are my Non-toxic Scented Whipped Sugar scrubs! I have three amazing scents available, Sea Salt + Sand, Cashmere Date, and Beach Babe! These scents are made using high quality, non toxic fragrance oils that are vegan, and formulated for sensitive skin. They are also phthalate and paraben free, mutagen and carcinogen free, and cruelty free. Now you can enjoy amazing scented body products in your shower routine, without worrying about what’s in those fragrances!

Calico Farms: We have several new items this week -

First up, is Ben’s buttered pecans. This one’s just as they sound, melted grass-fed butter mixed with pecan halves, tossed with some pink Himalayan sea salt and oven roasted to perfection. Sold in 10-oz resealable bags, like all of our other nuts. I’ll update with an image this week.

Secondly, we have 2 new scone flavors: strawberry & blueberry vanilla bean. Both sold in 3-packs and lightly iced to perfection.

Finally, if you’re a tea lover like me, if you haven’t tried our organic Summer Fruits tea, you’re missing out. I absolutely love it iced on these hot summer days. It’s got freeze dried strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, lemongrass, hibiscus & chamomile, so it’s bursting with light & refreshing flavors to quench your thirst. I sample it at our in-person market , where it’s been selling SO well. Be sure to grab one of our tea steepers too, if you don’t have something similar, to let this tea ( and all teas, honestly) open up fully and get more bang for your buck. It’s dishwasher safe, too.

Arrington Bread Co is back, and super excited to bring fresh sourdough boules to the community

The Wednesday Market:  Happy Father's Day from The Wednesday Market! Ordering is Open.

Good afternoon, and Happy Father’s Day weekend from The Wednesday Market.

The Market is open for orders. Please place your order by 10 p.m. Monday. Orders are ready for pick up between 2 and 4 p.m. Wednesday. Check the website for this week’s product offerings. Here is the link: https://wednesdaymarket.locallygrown.net/market

Summer is my favorite season for lots of reasons, not the least of which is that it is tomato season! Who can resist a tomato sandwich on white bread with just the right amount of mayo? Then there is the classic BLT: toasted bread, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It’s the perfect lunch for hot weather. My favorite preparation of fresh tomatoes is caprese salad. This dish consists of sliced tomatoes layered with slices of fresh mozzarella cheese and finely chopped bits of fresh basil. Everything is sprinkled lightly with sea salt and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. So simple, yet so delicious!

Thank you for supporting Georgia Grown. We’ll see you at the Market.

Thanks,
Beverly

P.S. If you have questions about your order, please contact Nelda. She is available by text, email, or phone call.
