Local Raw Honey
Spring Allergies? Hay fever? Time to buzz by the Cumming Harvest for your local HONEY….
Spring is here – Hooray!!
With it comes the warm weather we have all been looking forward to but unfortunately for allergy sufferers Spring also arrives with lots of pollen. Now is the time to start taking raw, local honey to help alleviate pesky Spring allergies and hay fever. Honey is a well known remedy for allergies, but did you know it HAS to be locally produced for it to work. Makes sense when you think about it, your local bees are gathering pollen from the wildflowers around you to create their honey. By ingesting local honey, we help our immune systems deal with the local pollens around us.
Also, the honey should be raw, honey that is not raw has been pasteurized. During the pasteurization process many nutrients are sensitive to heat and will be destroyed. It’s the beneficial enzymes found in raw honey that make it so digestible to humans.
At the Cumming Harvest we offer a variety of honey products from B&B Enterprises who offer not only local and raw honey, but pesticide free as well!
Owners of B&B Enterprises – Bob & Bev Bradbury’s grow over 200 kinds of flowers, 36 kinds of vegetables, 12 kinds of fruit, many herbs and other bushes and trees. The bees not only pollinate the plants but bring back to the hives the pollen and nectar from which they make the honey. No insecticides are ever used on any of their products.
