Champaign, OH: Good Day, Sunshine!
Good day sunshine…
Good day sunshine…
Good day sunshine….
I need to laugh, and when the sun is out…
I’ve got something I can laugh about…
(Beatles – Good Day Sunshine)
Well, finally…the kind of day that I can smile about. The kind of day that makes me feel alive. The kind of day that tells me growth, green, the next season is finally within our grasp! Yes, Good Day, Sunshine…it’s amazing!
It was so therapeutic to drive with my sunroof, open, this morning. To shed the 20 layers that I needed, all winter, just to keep warm. It was nice to just drive with tunes, breeze, sunshine, hair blowing in the wind, and finally feel like I am whole, again!
The other sunshine feeling I am getting is looking at the market orders, so far! A nice market for a Monday…I can tell that customers are ready to begin venturing out, once again…to place orders, to anticipate coming out to order pick up…to once again give some love to our little local market!
I would LOVE to see this market soar into record breaking numbers, this week, to celebrate the return of the sun, of the spirit, of the soul…let’s do this!! Even if every customer and vendor orders just ONE product, it would be amazing!!!
The market is open, it will be open until tomorrow night, at 10pm. Make me even happier than I am right now…flood this market with love and orders!!
Peace and Love,
Cosmic Pam

Market Closes at 8:00pm Monday!

Offerings you may want to check out…
Greg Hutchins of Heritage Farm has outstanding grass-fed Meats! This week he has added Pig Skin that can be fried up as ‘Pork Rinds’ or prepared for your favorite 4 legged furry friend! Have you tried Heritage Farm’s Chuck Roast! I got another one last week and it was fabulous. I seared it on all sides, then put in Crockpot – added onions, potatoes, celery, garlic, carrots and some spices and WOW! Terrific flavor and texture!
Burnell Farms is going strong bringing us some great winter veggies! This week they have added Hibiscus Flowers, (great for drying and making Hibiscus Tea), Fennel, Kohlrabi and ‘Cheddar’ Cauliflower. Some of you may remember this Cauliflower which Tammy also offered last year. Slightly orange in color and a mild taste with a creamy texture when cooked!
Don’t forget to check out all of the Organic Baked Good from Dabrielle of My Daily Bread.
Marie of Bakery on Brooks has wonderful Gluten Free offerings. Be sure browse through her offerings!
Carrell Farms has added Alpaca to their offerings! Be adventurous and try some. To me it is a bit sweeter than Pork and delicious! Of course their wonderful Water Buffalo offerings are also available! Try some Soup Bones for wonderful Bone Broth! Add in the Ox Tail for an especially delicious treat! Roasts, steaks, ground …they have it all! Alpaca Sausage will be featured and samples available at all of the Markets this week! Be sure and try some!
Don’t forget to check out Shalley’s line of Skin Care products. My new favorite is her Silky Bamboo Lotion! A little goes a long way – and it feels exquisite on your skin!
Jay and Patti Parsons of Dances With Bees offer both Honey and Natural Skin Care products made with Honey or Beeswax. Patti’s Beeswax Candles are wonderful, also!
Check your Grocery List and get your orders in before 8:00pm this evening for delivery on Thursday!

Independence,VA: Now Taking Orders for Pickup on Friday March 13th
Whoops!
The springtime rush apparently just got the better of us. Michelle just called from on the road to a morning meeting with VA SoFresh, followed by tonight’s meeting of the Appalachian Farmers Market Association meeting in Bristol. We were busy getting her off to the Growers Conference in Asheville over the weekend that we forgot to turn the online market on Friday evening. Soo, the market is now enabled for this week, please forgive the delay and support our vendors. I hear the rooster telling me to hurry down and take care of his charge, let’s hope spring is arriving. Thanks all!
Don
